Megan Miller Coral Bliss Swatches and Review

Today, I have a nail post (finally) for everyone. A truly luscious warm-leaning coral red, Megan Miller Coral Bliss is the perfect shade for summer. Read on for swatches and a discount!

Megan Miller Coral Bliss in the shade
Megan Miller is an environmentally friendly,  B3 free line of nail polish that started as a vision of "rustic, natural elegance which utilizes the finest materials to provide that experience". The natural cork top and hand-tried raffia string adds a lovely rustic touch to the bottle. This is definitely one nail polish I'd love to display on my vanity.

The Megan Miller logo is a peacock feather printed on the top of the cork cap, which is a nice touch. I've heard other polish addicts who mentioned that the cap is a little heavy/too large to grip well when applying nail polish. I beg to differ. I had no such problems with it, and found the slightly springy and textured cork top a pleasure to hold during application.

Megan Miller Coral Bliss went on like a dream. Between one thin layer of polish and one thicker layer of polish, with Coral Bliss I'd opt for a thicker layer. Coral Bliss really gives a "lacquerised" look to the nails because it is so glossy even when it dries! The colour is a beautiful warm coral red, closer to red than pink. In the bottle it looks more pink, but on the nails (I applied 2 thin coats and one thicker coat), the colour is closer to red. Check out the picture below to see what I mean - the colour in the bottle and on the nails look completely different.

Coral Bliss is a sheer jelly polish though, so you may experience VNL (visible nail line), but with 3 coats it should go away. Moreover, with such a stunning and summery colour (reminds me of the MAC Hey, Sailor! Summer 2012 collection), your eyes wouldn't be focusing too much on the VNL. I will definitely try to do a glitter sandwich with this jelly polish.

Now for the *drumrolls* discount! In honour of Megan Miller being colour of the month, the official local e-store that carries Megan Miller nail polishes, Mei Mei's Signatures, is currently selling Coral Bliss at S$13.50. All the other polishes in the line are sold at S$15, a drop from the original retail price of S$18. S$13.50 is a great deal for such a fantastic polish. The promotional price for Coral Bliss and the other Megan Miller polishes only lasts until the end of June 2012, so do hop down to the Megan Miller collection at Mei Mei's Signatures to check it out now!

As you can see, this is a pretty short post as I don't have that many swatches of this polish. I was too excited to use it as a base for nail art! Check out my next post for my goldfish manicure using Megan Miller Coral Bliss as a base, and thanks for reading.
