Korres It's a Wild Wild World with Wild Rose Party (27 July 2012)

A few weeks ago I attended Korres It's a Wild Wild World with Wild Rose Party to celebrate the launch of three new additions to the extremely popular Korres Wild Rose range.

I was really excited because I'd heard such good things about Korres but haven't had to chance to try their products. Read on to find out what happened, what's so great about these new products, and a piece of fantastic news for Korres fans!

I reached the event a little late, so everything was already in full swing, from the presentations to the demonstrations. I made my way in and listened to a presentation about the new products. We were able to try some of the products on our hands too, and let me just say that they smelt fantastic and not unnaturally cloying at all.

First up, there is the Korres Wild Rose Exfoliating Cleanser.

This cleanser is a gentle, yet potent exfoliating cleanser suitable for daily use that provides effective, soap free cleansing and brightening, without dehydating the skin. Its other active ingredients (apart from wild rose), include natural exfoliating grains from Rice seeds and Cherry stones and a natural blend of Bilberry, Sugar, Orange and Lemon extracts. These ingredients not only gently cleanse the skin from impurities and excess sebum; they also smooth and condition the skin by enhancing cell renewal and promoting skin radiance. It's also suitable for all skin types, so everyone can benefit from this cleanser.

Available for S$48 for 150ml, it's proved very popular amongst Korres fans so far - I wanted to take a picture of the Korres Wild Rose Exfoliating Cleanser on the shelves, but there was only the tester left as it had completely sold out!

Next up, we have the Korres Wild Rose 24hr moisturising and brightening cream.

Wild Rose oil, the key ingredient in this product, is a natural source of vitamin C that drives significant repairing activity to fine lines and skin colour disorders, while adding brightness and radiance to the skin. It also contains Phytic acid that works as an antioxidant, skin lightener and has anti-aging properties, Olive oil that nourishes and moisturises the skin and Grape seed extract that provides anti-oxidant protection. Another important ingredient, the Imperata Cylindrica extract, ensures 24-hour moisturising by continually regulating the cellular water equilibrium.

I had the chance to try some on my hand, and it felt really moisturising without being greasy, and was easily absorbed into my skin.

As a bonus, the Wild Rose scent was lovely and sensual, nothing like the artificial rose fragrances that irritate my nose.

It's a best seller, so don't miss out! Available at S$58 for 40ml in the Korres store.

Last but definitely not least, touted as "The HERO in your beauty regime" is the Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream with SPF 15!

Containing SPF 15, this velvety eye cream shields and brightens the eye area while simultaneously working against fine lines and dark circles. Its other active ingredients include an active agent derived from the fermentation of Black Tea which boosts the brightening and line smoothing action of the cream; enhancing radiance, luminosity and restoring the skin's "volume". Other ingredients such as Yeast extract, betaine and Vitamins C and E help to improve microcirculation, decreasing eye puffiness (eye bags) and dark circles and providing anti-oxidant protection against fine lines while moisturising and strengthening the delicate under-eye area.

Another best seller, this eye cream got my skincare senses tingling and I really wanted to try it out on my dark under-eye area. It's available for S$69 for 15ml, which is rather pricey, so I'm very grateful to have received it in the blogger packages that were given out at the event. I will be doing a review of it soon, after using it for close to a month.

Speaking of the blogger packages, I really loved the design of the bags, which were stylish and striking. I picked the red one (pictured bottom left) as it reminded me of the KORRES Wild Rose range. The lovely rose petal decor on the floor really captured my attention. What a beautiful touch from the people at Korres!

Apart from the introduction of the three new Wild Rose products, we were also introduced to a new initiative by Korres - their online shop.

Psst, spot the celebrity in the picture!

In addition to Korres' current flagship stores in Raffles City (#B2-16; this outlet) and Parco @ Millenia Walk #P1-19, you can now shop at Korres' online store: www.korresasia.com to fulfill your Korres needs! Browse the website, click on the product to add it to your shopping basket and checkout with any major credit card and you're set.

That's not the only great thing about the Korres website. From now until 31st October 2012, for every product that you purchase, Korres will offer a discount upon checkout. There will be an additional 2% off for every additional product purchased e.g. you will enjoy 10% discount if you purchase 5 products or 20% if you purchase 10 products. The maximum discount you'll be able to enjoy is 40% off with purchase of 20 or more products, but do note that this offer is only valid until 31st October 2012, so grab a few beauty junkie friends and get that 40% off for your Korres needs!

After the informative presentations had ended, we were free to walk around the store, explore the Wild Rose range, and take many pictures.

Everyone was having a fun time testing out the products, asking questions and generally enjoying themselves.

The Wild Rose range looked really tempting, from the packaging to the functions. I really like the minimalist red and white design of the Wild Rose products - sleek, striking but simple.

There were even value packages that combined different products at a lower price for us to choose from.

After asking the staff about the functions of the different products, I was especially interested in trying the Wild Rose Instant Brightening and Illuminating Mask, which costs S$22 for 16ml and is suitable for all skin types and has an immediate brightening effect on the skin. I bought this product at the end of the event and will be doing a review on it too, along with the Wild Rose Eye Cream SPF 15.

Apart from exploring the store and finding out more about the different Wild Rose products available, we were also well-fed and watered with the delicious snacks and drinks provided.

There were two celebrities at the Korres party, and I managed to get pictures with them too! Fans of Zzen Zhang and Zhang Yao Dong, familiar faces on Channel 8 dramas, please be very, very jealous. I was probably really nervous because I look so strange in the photo.

Near the end of the event, there was a lucky draw. While I wasn't that lucky this time, I was more than lucky to have attended such a well-planned and interesting event. Here's a picture of a happy Rachel holding the blogger bag and a polaroid.

Before I left, I bought the Wild Rose Instant Brightening Mask (S$22) and Wild Rose Lip Butter (S$21). Together with the Wild Rose Eye Cream SPF 15 (S$69) that was provided for review, that makes 3 Korres products that are available for me to test. So far I really like the Wild Rose Mask and Eye Cream, but I'll leave my opinions for the review posts.

Thank you, Korres Singapore for hosting such a wonderful party and gifting your "hero" product for review. I'll definitely be posting reviews on the Korres products soon, so stay tuned!
